Job Summary:
The Spray Painter is responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to exhibition stands, event structures, and props. The role ensures smooth, consistent, and durable finishes according to approved designs, maintaining aesthetic quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to wooden, metal, or composite surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and priming before painting.
- Mix paint and coatings according to specified colors and ratios.
- Ensure paint coverage is even, smooth, and free of defects.
- Work according to approved designs, drawings, and color schemes.
- Maintain spray equipment, tools, and paint inventory.
- Follow safety procedures, including proper ventilation and protective equipment usage.
- Collaborate with carpenters, installers, and the foreman to ensure timely project completion.
- Report any paint or material shortages, defects, or issues to the foreman or project manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the painting area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Spray Painter, preferably in exhibitions, events, or construction.
- Knowledge of different paints, coatings, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to mix and match colors accurately.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Understanding of safety standards and proper handling of chemicals.
- Physical stamina and good hand-eye coordination.
