Spread Room Operator

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Spread Room Machine Operator in our Lancaster, Texas Spread Department. This individual is part of a team responsible for the daily production of spread, ensuring all finished product meets product quality.

General Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment and machinery for the production and packaging of spread
  • Ensures all finished product meets product quality and integrity standards
  • Consistently monitor and maintain quality control standards and report results and any deviations to the supervisor
  • Assist with monitoring and managing inventory levels to meet production targets and ensure continuous production
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment and machinery
  • Perform all other job-related duties as needed.

Work Schedule + Benefits:

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt)
  • Starting Pay: $24.00- 26.00/HR DOE
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors
  • Must be able to work the following shifts which will rotate on a monthly basis:
    • 1st Shift: 5 am – 1:30 pm (Monday – Thursday)
    • 2nd Shift: 1 pm – 9:30 pm (Monday – Thursday)
  • Department needs may call for weekend and holiday scheduling

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a meat facility, food processing plant, or similar warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit and stand for up to eight (10) hours on a continuous basis
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
