Design, develop, and review fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA 13, NFPA14, NFPA 20, and other applicable fire protection codes and standards.
Perform accurate hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems using approved industry software
Prepare, review, and maintain fire protection layouts, riser diagrams, shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP (Fire Protection).
Utilize specialized fire protection software including AutoSPRINK, HydraCALC, HASS, and Elite Fire to ensure technically sound and code-compliant designs.
Ensure all fire protection designs meet Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, client specifications, and project scope.
Coordinate closely with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems within overall building designs.
Conduct design coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and resolve identified conflicts on time.
Prepare and submit technical submittals, material take-offs (MTOs), bills of quantities (BOQs), and compliance documentation as required by the project.
Review drawings and technical documents using Bluebeam Revu and incorporate comments, revisions, and approvals efficiently.
Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical clarifications to clients, consultants, and contractors.
Support project planning and execution by providing regular technical updates and meeting project timelines and quality standards.
Stay updated with revisions to NFPA codes and ensure continuous compliance with industry best practices.
Tasks as assigned by the company or line managers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, and other applicable fire protection codes.
Experience in fire sprinkler system design and hydraulic calculations.
Proficiency in AutoSPRINK, HydraCALC, HASS, Elite Fire, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.
Familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam Revu.
Ability to prepare shop drawings, riser diagrams, MTOs, BOQs, and technical submittals.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working on US-based fire protection projects will be preferred.
Must be available for an office-based role in Bahria Town Civic Center, Phase 4, Rawalpindi.
Must be willing and able to work in the USA Shift (Night Shift).
