Sprinkler Fitter

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Sprinkler Fitter and become a vital part of ensuring safety and compliance across construction and manufacturing projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems with precision and expertise. Your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret schematics will drive successful project completion. Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems and piping layouts.
  • Install fire sprinkler systems according to ASME codes & standards, ensuring all components meet safety regulations.
  • Use power tools, hand tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, and tube bending tools to assemble piping and sprinkler components accurately.
  • Perform welding tasks including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and <LOCATION> welding as required for pipe fabrication and system assembly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Rigging and lifting heavy piping or equipment safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
  • Follow all safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing environments while adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Measure materials using basic math skills to ensure precise fitting of pipes and components.
  • Solder fittings and connections for leak-proof piping systems; utilize schematics for troubleshooting system issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting, plumbing, HVAC systems, pipeline installation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and ASME codes & standards confidently.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, rigging, and assembly tasks.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments accurately.
  • Construction site experience with an understanding of safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to pipe fabrication or system assembly.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe dimensions or system layouts.

Pay: $24.84 - $35.00 per hour
