SQA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level SQA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing to join our SQA team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing processes and a basic foundation in automation testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications to identify bugs and usability issues.
• Assist in creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and expected outcomes.
• Log, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Support the implementation of automated test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA review meetings.
• Conduct regression testing during release cycles to ensure product stability.
• Provide clear documentation of test results and contribute to improving QA best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in QA (manual and/or automation).
• Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with testing tools such as Postman, Jira, TestRail, or similar.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, API testing, etc.).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of SQL for basic database validation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
