SQA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive SQA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through thorough testing, documentation, and collaboration with development teams. You will play a critical role in identifying defects, improving processes, and ensuring our solutions meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual & automated).
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI, API, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Validate fixes and ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure smooth release cycles.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Work with automation frameworks (if applicable) like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or others.
• Prepare detailed reports on test results and quality metrics.
• Ensure software meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems.
• Ability to write clear, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
• Basic understanding of databases and ability to run SQL queries.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience with automation testing using Selenium / Cypress / Playwright.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.

Pay: From Rs75,000.00 per month
