We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented SQA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in both manual and automated testing to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale projects—particularly in healthcare and other high-trust domains where accuracy, security, and stability are crucial.
About the Role
As an SQA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans for new and existing features. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to identify issues early, improve product quality, and streamline the release process. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, and a solid understanding of QA best practices.
You’ll help drive a culture of quality across the engineering team through proactive testing, smart automation, and continuous improvement of testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure complete test coverage.
- Perform regression, integration, performance, usability, and cross-platform testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated test suites.
- Validate API functionality using tools like Postman, Swagger, or automated API testing frameworks.
- Analyze test results, provide actionable feedback, and support troubleshooting during releases.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, coding practices, and proper documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards—especially for healthcare-related systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in software QA testing (manual + automation).
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG/JUnit.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and working with API automation tools.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience testing healthcare, enterprise, or mission-critical applications is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
