If you thrive on building systems that stand up to FDA and DATCP scrutiny, if CAPA and root cause are second nature, and if coaching teams energizes you—let’s talk.

Why this role matters

  • Safeguard product integrity across a commercial bakery producing certified goods (USDA Organic, OU Kosher, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance).
  • Champion an SQF-ready site and ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR, DATCP, and customer standards.
  • Develop people and processes—leading 8 Quality professionals and overseeing a 21-person Sanitation team.

Your scope

  • Food Safety Plan ownership (HACCP/Preventive Controls): hazard analysis, CCP/CP monitoring, verification, continual improvement.
  • EMP leadership: environmental monitoring strategy, trend analysis, and corrective action.

  • Training engine: GMPs, allergens, food defense—driving comprehension and application on the floor.
  • Performance storytelling: complaints, audit outcomes, and swab trend metrics communicated to senior leadership.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related—or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in FSQA with 5+ years leading teams in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated strength in audit management and timely, effective responses.
  • HACCP, PCQI, and SQF practitioner background strongly desired.
  • Working mastery of SQF/GFSI, FDA 21 CFR, allergen controls, and EMP best practices.

  • Hands-on leadership with flexibility to support off-shift training, investigations, and audits.

On-site role with a primarily daytime schedule. Flexibility is required for off-shift needs. You’ll move fluidly between production, warehouse, and sanitation areas—visible, supportive, and accountable.
