SQL Developer

Job Title: SQL Developer (4+ Years)
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, optimize database performance, and deliver reliable database solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role plays a key part in ensuring data integrity and providing support for application development and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Database Design and Development:
  • Design, implement, and document database schemas, tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
  • Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers based on business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure the database structure supports application requirements and business rules.
• Database Optimization:
  • Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries for performance and scalability.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as indexing, statistics updates, and database cleanup.
  • Monitor server resource usage and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Apply best practices to ensure efficient and high-performing database systems.
  • Conduct code reviews for SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database changes to ensure the best practices are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, data governance policies, and change management processes.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure data security, accuracy, and integrity across environments.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate error handling and logging mechanisms.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with application development teams to embed efficient and scalable database logic.

• Reporting And Analysis:
  • Develop custom reports and queries to support business intelligence and operational needs.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in SQL Server.
• proficiency in SQL database designing, writing complex queries, and effective communication abilities.

Knowledge and Skills required

• Strong expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL/PL-SQL scripting.
• Skilled in designing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud-based database environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases, SSRS, ETL Tools, Power BI is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
