SQL developer

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and optimize database schemas, including table design, indexing, and relationships to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.

· Maintain high data quality standards, developing scalable database structures for reporting and analysis.

· Develop complex stored procedures and functions that align with business requirements and optimize database performance.

· Troubleshoot and refine existing SPs, ensuring efficient query performance and minimal resource usage.

· Design, create, and manage SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to support ETL processes and data migrations.

· Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot scheduled SSIS jobs for data flow automation and reporting requirements.

· Perform database health checks, backups, and recovery tasks to ensure data availability and integrity.

· Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance.

· Establish and enforce standards for data integrity and quality across all database operations.

· Collaborate with teams to develop policies and procedures for managing data compliance and security

· Diagnose and resolve performance issues using tools like indexing, query optimization, and partitioning.

· Conduct query analysis and tuning to reduce load times and increase system efficiency.

· Document database structures, stored procedures, and SSIS workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements and providing technical support.

Requirements:

Experience: 3-5 years in SQL development, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) or similar relational databases.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in T-SQL, table design, stored procedure creation, and SSIS package management.

· Familiarity with other database management practices, including indexing, partitioning, and security protocols.

· Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving database performance issues.

· Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and maintenance best practices.
