Position - Chartered Accountant (Accounts & Finance)

Location - Head Office – Rudrapur

Industry - Agro Processing / Rice Milling / Frozen Foods / Exports

Turnover - Approx. ₹600 Crore

About the Company

We are a diversified agro-processing company engaged in rice milling, frozen vegetable manufacturing and export of rice, catering to domestic as well as international markets. With growing scale and complexity, we are strengthening our finance and accounting function by inducting a qualified Chartered Accountant to bring structure, controls and best practices.

Purpose of the Role

The role is intended to strengthen the accounting and finance department, introduce professional discipline, improve controls, compliance and reporting, and act as a bridge between management and the existing accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Finalisation Support

• Review day-to-day accounting done by the existing team
• Ensure correctness of entries, classifications and ledgers
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual finalisation of accounts
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors and consultants

2. Compliance & Statutory Matters

• Ensure compliance with:
• GST (including returns, reconciliations, notices)
• Income Tax (TDS, advance tax workings, assessments support)
• Companies Act requirements (if applicable)
• Monitor statutory deadlines and filings
• Support management during audits and inspections

3. Process & Control Improvement

• Review existing accounting processes and suggest improvements
• Introduce basic internal controls, checks and maker–checker systems
• Standardise accounting practices across units (rice mill, frozen veg, exports)
• Improve documentation and record keeping

4. MIS & Management Reporting

• Assist in preparation of:
• Monthly MIS
• Cost summaries
• Unit-wise profitability statements
• Analyse variances in:
• Raw material consumption
• Processing costs
• Export realisations
• Provide meaningful insights to management

5. Inventory, Costing & Operational Support

• Review inventory accounting (paddy, rice, by-products, frozen stock)
• Support cost analysis for:
• Milling yields
• Processing losses
• Cold storage & freezing costs
• Coordinate with production and stores teams for data accuracy

6. Team Coordination

• Work closely with existing accounts staff
• Guide and mentor accounting team where required
• Act as a professional reference point for finance matter

Requirements

Candidates from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand are preferred.

Mandatory

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA – Fresher or up to 1 year experience) Or Professional Graduate Accounts Person with Minimum 10 Years of Experience
• Strong conceptual clarity in accounting, taxation and compliance
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing / agro-processing environment

Preferred

• Articleship exposure to manufacturing / trading / audit
• Basic understanding of GST and income tax compliance
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn operations

Compensation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
