Key Responsibilities1. General Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
  • Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
  • Manage petty cash and cash flow reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT/tax regulations, and financial standards.

2. Construction Accounting

  • Prepare project-wise cost reports and monitor budget vs. actual expenses.
  • Track subcontractor invoices, approvals, retentions, and progress payments.
  • Verify material purchase orders, delivery notes, and site consumption.
  • Assist in preparing project profitability reports and cost forecasts.

3. Machine/Equipment Rental Accounting

  • Track rental contracts, equipment utilization, and billing cycles.
  • Prepare rental invoices, monitor due payments, and reconcile rental revenue.
  • Maintain asset registers for rental machines, depreciation schedules, and maintenance cost logs.

4. Spare Parts Trading & Inventory

  • Manage inventory accounting for spare parts, including GRN, stock transfers, and stock valuation.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records periodically.
  • Monitor purchasing, pricing, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Support procurement with vendor reconciliations.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow summaries.
  • Analyze expense trends and provide financial insights to management.
  • Support audits and prepare required documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience preferably in:
  • Construction industry
  • Machine/equipment rental
  • Spare parts & trading
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT/tax compliance, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, ERP systems).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with project-based accounting.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance cost tracking.
  • Knowledge of supply chain workflows for spare parts.
  • Familiarity with inventory management modules in ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
