Job Summary:

Autofreight Shipping and Logistics LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly within the logistics and shipping sector, and be capable of handling end-to-end accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Monitor cash flow, forecast budgets, and ensure efficient financial planning.

Ensure timely VAT filing and compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.

Manage fixed asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.

Perform cost analysis and profitability reviews for shipping and logistics activities.

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Liaise with banks, vendors, and clients for financial transactions and reconciliations.

Suggest process improvements to streamline financial operations and reduce risk.

Requirements:

Master's / Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in shipping/logistics.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.

Experience with accounting software.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
