Sr. Backend Developer

Botmer International is expanding its engineering team in Karachi!
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer who can architect and build scalable backend systems for global AI-powered products and platforms.

✅ Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js & NestJS
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code with TypeScript
• Architect database schemas and optimize queries (PostgreSQL / MongoDB)
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services
• Ensure backend performance, reliability, and security at scale
• Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to ship production-ready features
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain cloud-based deployments (AWS preferred)
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 4–6+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Solid understanding of scalable system architecture, microservices, and API design
• Experience with AWS / cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, Docker, and unit testing
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in fast-paced product teams

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Great to Have)

• Experience with microservices, queues, Redis, or event-driven systems
• Exposure to serverless (Lambda, Cloud Functions)
• Experience working with AI or automation products

Location
On-site – Karachi (Night shift aligned with US time zones)
