Sr. Business Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with business users to define problems, data availability, and requirements, and to implement complex systems that provide cost-benefits to the organization. Leverage AI/LLM tools to analyze requirements, identify patterns, and generate requirement summaries.
• Facilitate effective discussions and meetings between development teams, data teams, test teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders during the software development lifecycle. Use AI tools to document meeting notes, generate action items, and create status summaries.
• Use solid analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate product requests and offer creative solutions. Apply LLMs to brainstorm solution approaches, analyze feasibility, and document trade-offs.
• Take large and/or complex projects and break them down into consumable business requirements. Use AI to assist in scope decomposition, dependency mapping, and phased implementation planning.
• Identify dependencies and create risk mitigation plans. Leverage AI/LLM analysis to identify risks, assess impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Document the requirements in a clear manner with the right level of detail for the project and audience. Use AI to generate clear, concise requirement documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Apply advanced understanding of the company's business needs to develop solutions. Use AI/LLM capabilities to research industry trends, analyze competitive solutions, and generate innovative approaches.
• Provide context to cross functional teams to help drive optimal solutions. Utilize AI to create comprehensive solution briefs and distribute insights across teams.
• Assist in the Project Management of assigned projects and assist in maintaining project deadlines, budgets, and schedules. Use AI-powered project intelligence tools to track progress and identify risks early.
• Support the portfolio/product owners and stakeholders on project priorities. Leverage AI to analyze data and provide data-driven priority recommendations.
• May coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing. Use AI to analyze test results and identify patterns in defects.
• Support and research assigned production issues to find root cause. Apply AI/LLM analysis to investigate issues, review logs, and recommend solutions.
• A true thirst for knowledge with the end goal of becoming a subject matter expert in this space. Actively explore emerging AI/LLM applications and integrate learnings into business analysis practices.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a job-related field of study required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in business analysis, process analysis/design experience preferably all in the Fintech space.
• Demonstrated experience with AI/LLM tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar generative AI platforms) applied to business analysis, requirements documentation, and project workflows. Must be comfortable with prompt engineering and leveraging these tools to improve productivity and solution quality.
• Prior experience in the online Financial Services industry, with knowledge of consumer/personal lending strongly preferred.
• Team player who has experience working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experienced with MS Project, Visio, and SQL.
• Proficient with Agile development methodologies and artifacts.
• Proficient with software quality assurance and release management processes.
• Prior experience in technical project management preferred.
• System and/or data analysis experience preferred.
• Understanding and exposure to Azure Cloud technologies preferred.
• Ability to assess project priorities and manage multiple projects at one time.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of accountability and ownership.
• An exceptional communicator, written and verbally, with the savvy to adapt their communication to the audience.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to offer creative solutions to product requests.
• Ability to turn big and/or complex projects into requirements that are easy for the business and technology to understand.
