Work Schedule: 40-hour work week (5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80 schedule options); overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $70.00 – $76.00 per hour

Impact

As a Sr Business Analyst – Planner Scheduler, you will play a key role in supporting complex project execution at the Savannah River Site. This position ensures cost and schedule performance remain aligned with project objectives by developing and maintaining detailed, resource-loaded schedules and applying project controls best practices. Your work directly supports mission-critical DOE operations by providing management with accurate forecasting, variance analysis, and actionable performance insights.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, cost analysts, and scope owners to define work breakdown structures (WBS), logic ties, and resource loading.

  • Perform critical path analysis and forecasting to identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Support cost and schedule integration in accordance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.

  • Monitor project performance and prepare status reports identifying variances, trends, and corrective actions.

  • Support change management processes, including baseline updates and schedule revisions.

  • Assist in development of milestone schedules, recovery schedules, and what-if analyses.

  • Provide schedule data extraction and reporting to support management reviews and decision-making.

  • Ensure alignment with SRNS project controls procedures and scheduling standards.

  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate schedule integration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining moderately complex project schedules.

  • Ability to apply EVMS cost and schedule requirements under limited supervision.

  • Experience supporting planning, scheduling, and project controls functions in industrial, construction, nuclear, or DOE-regulated environments.

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or comparable scheduling tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate schedule impacts and provide mitigation recommendations.

  • Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

  • Strong working knowledge of project lifecycle processes, including baseline development and change control.

The following experience profiles alone do NOT meet minimum qualifications:

  • Administrative scheduling support without integrated project controls responsibility

  • Maintenance-only planning roles without baseline schedule ownership

  • Cost analysis roles without scheduling integration experience

  • Candidates lacking experience with resource-loaded schedules and schedule performance analysis

Desired Skills

  • Experience in DOE or nuclear industry environments.

  • Familiarity with Site Business systems and project controls tools.

  • Experience supporting capital projects or construction-related scopes.

  • Knowledge of risk analysis and schedule contingency development.

  • Experience mentoring junior planners or schedulers.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, reporting dashboards, etc.).

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, technical discipline, or related field with relevant project controls experience.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience should demonstrate:

  • Project planning and scheduling development

  • Baseline schedule maintenance and forecasting

  • Cost and schedule integration

  • Application of EVMS principles (preferred)

Work Environment & Requirements

  • A 40-hour work week is scheduled with potential schedule options including 5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80.

  • Overtime may be required to meet deliverables.

  • Clearance not required.

  • Travel, if required, must be pre-approved in accordance with SRNS procurement policies.
