Sr. Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and calculations
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and clients
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national engineering standards and codes
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or construction issues
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and progress updates
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Support tendering, bidding, and contract management activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 8+ years of proven experience in civil engineering projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred/required as per location)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and design standards
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, ETABS, or similar)
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, highways, buildings, or water projects
• PMP or other project management certification
• Experience working with government or large-scale projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
