How you will contribute

Role Objective: In this key position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Cakes & Pastries (C&P) long term portfolio, innovation pipeline design & development work. As a forward-thinking leader, you will be responsible for driving and partnering with commercial teams in developing holistic MDLZ C&P Aisle Go to Market playbook and Pilot Design & Execution. Your creativity and strategic mindset will be instrumental in ensuring that Mondelez is set up for success in the C&P space. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize white spaces innovation territories with strategic and commercial analysis: selecting the right growth drivers, forecasting, and identifying the appropriate competitive and trends intel data to support recommendations.
  • Develop long term MDLZ enterprise C&P portfolio Strategy to deliver bold V30 Ambition, and the C&P innovation pipeline to deliver AC -SP growth ambition.
  • Partner with commercial team to craft customer-consumer centric category growth story, including:
  • Building consumer/shopper driver & barrier understanding for the category
  • Discover new innovation methodologies and processes on key big bets, and drive winning innovation development on key big bet brand-format bundles with Agile methodology.
  • Define consumer -channel opportunity.
  • Develop compelling proposition /concepts which can deliver category growth.
  • Fuel marketing capabilities with key learnings, to strengthen capabilities within the MDLZ community, by developing solid learning plans to develop and validate product ideas for detailed implementation
  • Streamline C&P packaging strategy together with R&D and lead BUs. Monitor relevant competitor innovation activity and work closely with cross-functionals to fuel innovation portfolio strategy.
  • Explore new business models involving consumers in the next generation of C&P.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • Consumer marketing & strategy building acumen with a deep understanding of innovation process to enter and win in new category.
  • Prior C&P category knowledge including consumer-shopper & competition dynamics understanding a critical requirement to succeed.
  • Agile mindset must; experience with Agile ways of working preferred.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the agility and know-how to navigate the organization across functions
  • Compelling Insight Understanding & Translation to Strategy
  • Highly analytical with strong conceptual skills, understanding customer needs not only rationally but also emotionally
  • Growth-minded leader who can aim bold and gets things done despite ambiguity or adversity

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $297,500; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
