Sr. Director Corporate Accounting

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Director of Accounting to lead and oversee our accounting operations, financial close processes, and cross-functional financial systems. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across domestic and international operations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong systems proficiency — particularly with NetSuite — and the ability to partner across teams to drive accountability and process excellence.


NOTE: This role works a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days a week in the office. We are only considering candidates who live within a commutable distance to our corporate office in Grapevine, TX.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Close

  • Oversee and manage the full monthly close cycle, including currency revaluation for open transactions in NetSuite
  • Review and approve journal entries (JEs) to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage DC / Fulfillment and corporate allocations during the close process
  • Lead the Stove/Icy close review, trial balance (TB) reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation reviews
  • Perform high-risk reconciliation reviews monthly; medium-risk quarterly; low-risk annually
  • Lock AR, AP, and GL modules at the appropriate close milestones
  • Review monthly debt close schedules and quarterly debt reporting and audit schedules
  • Oversee NetSuite consolidation in coordination with relevant team members
  • Review revenue cutoff and prepare the quarterly revenue cutoff memo
  • Prepare and review quarter-end flux analyses

Debt & Compliance

  • Manage intercompany (I/C) netting processes in NetSuite, including maintaining contracts and I/C agreements
  • Drive cleanup of NetSuite intercompany unrealized gain items
  • Support debt compliance requirements in coordination with relevant stakeholders

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Respond to and manage ad hoc cash and Divvy budget questions and requests
  • Provide financial insights and support for budget planning and reporting activities

Vendor & Accounts Payable

  • Review and approve vendor invoices in partnership with AP team
  • Approve new vendors and GL account additions to maintain data integrity

Systems & Administration

  • Primary owner of Stove Netsuite system from access requests, change management approvals and enhancement prioritization.
  • Support financial system and access control as needed



Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a senior or director-level role
  • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, including consolidations, intercompany, and multi-currency
  • Proven ability to use AI to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Demonstrated expertise in monthly and quarterly close processes, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Experience with debt compliance, audit support, and revenue recognition
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
