Sr. Director, People Talent & Business Partnership

About The Role

Credo is seeking a Sr. Director, People Talent & Business Partnership to lead an integrated people model that unifies Talent Acquisition and People Business Partnership under a single strategic leader. This role is accountable for delivering a seamless, high‑impact people experience to business leaders across the full talent lifecycle, from workforce planning and hiring through onboarding, performance, and retention.


This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role for a systems‑oriented people leader who can balance strategic partnership, operational rigor, and team leadership. The senior director will serve as the single point of accountability for leader experience, while building strong recruiting and business partner capabilities that scale with Credo’s growth.


Base salary range is $225,000-275,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.


Location: Prioritizing San Jose, CA (hybrid)

This role is preferably based in San Jose in a hybrid capacity; exceptional candidates outside the area will be considered based on overall qualifications and ability to be in office on a frequent basis.

Key Responsibilities


Integrated Leader & Customer Experience Design

  • Design and deliver a predictable, high‑trust leader experience, treating the people approach as as a customer‑grade journey on adoption, satisfaction and outcomes
  • Serve as the single accountable people leader for the business, unifying Talent Acquisition and People Business Partnering into a cohesive operating model
  • Act as the voice of the leader within the People organization, ensuring feedback loops, execution clarity, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with senior leaders to translate business strategy into seamless delivery across the full talent lifecycle: workforce planning → hiring → onboarding → performance → retention
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent decisions, and change leadership


Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution

  • Set and lead Credo’s global talent acquisition strategy, aligning near term hiring with long term growth, expansion, and acquisition plans
  • Build, develop, and lead a high performing, multi-geography recruiting organization, including TA Partners embedded with business units
  • Establish scalable recruiting processes, tools, service levels, and performance metrics that improve hiring speed, quality, and consistency
  • Drive strong, consistent candidate experiences across all regions and roles
  • Evolve early career and internship programs to build sustainable, future ready talent pipelines
  • Partner cross-functionally to continue to build Credo’s employer brand and differentiate our employee value proposition


People Business Partner Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of People Business Managers/Partners aligned to strategic business organizations
  • Own workforce and capacity planning, organizational design, and talent integration at the business unit level
  • Ensure strong execution of core people programs in partnership with COEs, including total rewards, performance management, talent reviews, succession, and retention strategies
  • Drive accountability for outcomes such as time to productivity, early attrition, and leadership effectiveness


Operating Model, Data & Enablement

  • Partner closely with People Operations & Technology to embed data, AI, and automation across recruiting and people processes
  • Champion the integrity and use of people and recruiting data insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, data privacy requirements, and regional hiring regulations
  • Optimize vendor, agency, and partner relationships to support scalable execution


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive talent management leadership experience
  • Proven experience leading multi‑geography teams in fast‑growing or technology‑driven organizations
  • Strong capability in workforce planning, organizational design, and leader partnership
  • Deep fluency in talent management technologies, people data, and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence senior leaders, and lead through change
  • Experience supporting global expansion and/or acquisitions
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building talent strategies for complex, highly specialized roles
  • Track record of elevating talent branding that attracts scarce talent, reinforces company reputation, and supports business growth
  • Semiconductor, hardware, or technology experience
  • Strong background in complex talent ecosystems
