About the Role


The Senior Director of Procurement Operations serves as a key strategic and operational leader at Baldor, overseeing the Supply Planning and Business Intelligence functions within Procurement. This role is pivotal in shaping how Baldor plans, buys, and delivers products—driving performance, scalability, and alignment across Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, Sales, and Finance.

This role will lead efforts to optimize inventory, streamline replenishment, and enhance data-driven decision-making, while building sustainable systems and processes that support long-term growth. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on operator with deep expertise in perishable supply chains, forecasting, and cross-functional leadership.


Responsibilities:


Supply Planning & Replenishment

  • Lead the Supply Planning team responsible for daily purchasing execution and inventory management across all product categories.
  • Develop strategies and tools to balance service levels, cost, and waste while collaborating closely with Logistics and Warehousing to ensure efficient flow and utilization.
  • Continuously assess and refine replenishment practices to align with evolving customer and operational needs.

S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Development

  • Partner with Sales, Logistics, and Warehousing to establish and mature Baldor’s S&OP process.
  • Align demand forecasts with capacity and procurement strategies to improve transparency, predictability, and accountability across functions.
  • Integrate forecasting models and analytics to enhance decision-making accuracy.

Process & Systems Improvement

  • Redesign and document procurement and planning workflows to streamline handoffs, clarify ownership, and define service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to strengthen ERP functionality and implement advanced tools—such as supplier portals, forecasting modules, and automated dashboards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging data insights to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.

Business Intelligence & Data Leadership

  • Oversee the Procurement BI function, ensuring accurate, actionable analytics and strong data governance.
  • Define standardized metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor spend, supplier performance, and inventory turns.
  • Partner across departments to promote data accuracy, accessibility, and adoption of BI tools for operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners, analysts, and managers to achieve both performance and growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor emerging leaders and ensure organizational depth and succession readiness.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or planning leadership roles.Strong background in perishable or foodservice procurement operations.
  • Proven success in demand planning, S&OP implementation, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience leading Business Intelligence, data analytics, or master data teams preferred.
  • Expertise in ERP and BI tools (Microsoft D365, Power BI, or similar).
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Technology Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years pf experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Dynamics365 preferred).
  • Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables).
  • Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Power Point).

Work Environment:

  • Onsite 4 days per week in Bronx, NY location.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
