Sr ELV Technician

Key Responsibilities:

The ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Senior Technician is a critical role responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of various ELV systems. This position requires technical expertise in low voltage systems such as security systems, CCTV, access control, PA/BGM systems, structured cabling, and networking. The ELV Senior Technician must ensure that all systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and regulations while meeting client requirements. Person must have valid driving license and Arabic speaking

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Commissioning:

· Lead the installation and commissioning of ELV systems including but not limited to security systems, CCTV, access control, Bollard, Barrier, Time & Attendance, UPS, Video Management System, PA systems, Server & Storage, structured cabling, and networking.

· Ensure installations are completed accurately, safely, and within project timelines.

· Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to verify proper functioning.

2. Maintenance and Repair:

· Perform routine maintenance tasks on ELV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

· Diagnose and repair system faults promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.

· Coordinate with vendors for replacement parts and technical support when necessary.

· Periodic Preventive Maintenance and submit proactive recommendation report avoid failures

3. Supervision and Training:

· Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices and technical procedures.

· Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in ELV systems.

· Monitor team performance and provide feedback for improvement.

4. Compliance and Documentation:

· Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, installation diagrams, and equipment inventory.

· Assist in preparing project documentation and reports as required.

5. Customer Service:

· Interact with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.

· Provide technical support and guidance to clients during system demonstrations and handovers.

· Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through professional conduct and quality service delivery.

6. Continuous Improvement:

· Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to ELV systems.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the department.

· Collaborate with management to implement changes and initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in installing, maintaining, and repairing ELV systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems, CCTV, access control, Bollard, Barrier, Time & Attendance, UPS, Video Management System, PA systems, , Server & Storage, structured cabling, and networking.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as MCC, other UAE emirates standards.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for ELV systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Certifications such as VMS, Access Control, Server & Storage, networking training are desirable.
