Responsibilities
  • The Project BIM Coordinator is the key person coordinating model information in the BIM Asset between disciplines.
  • The BIM Coordinator coordinates the collaborative production, maintenance, and dissemination of unified building information models and associated construction documents for different projects.
  • The BIM Coordinator has strong proficiency with industry tools and Autodesk software packages (including Revit and Navisworks) and experience implementing 5D BIM.
  • Experience with Dynamo, 6D BIM, BIM 360, or related software is a plus.
  • Conduct affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and uphold company values.
  • Support the utilization of BIM tools used on a project.
  • Support project teams of architects, engineers, and builders to produce fully integrated, comprehensive, and detailed 5D/6D building information models that include all building subsystems.
  • Ensure all models are up to date, organized, and accessible to all project team members at all times.
  • Perform clash detections and collaborate with project partners to resolve identified issues.
  • Work closely with the BIM Manager to refine the BIM software stack and BIM creation process.
  • Use BIM authoring tools (Revit) to develop models at prequalification and tender stages for use in bids and proposals.
  • Utilize coordination/review tools such as Navisworks to federate, coordinate, perform clash detection, and produce reports.
  • Use simulation tools (e.g., Navisworks) aligned with project schedules/programs to produce 4D simulations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Level 2 BIM deliverables, including BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), MPDTs, MIDPs, and COBie outputs.
  • Use CDEs and data management tools such as Viewpoint or Vault, with experience in Information Management (based on BS1192 principles).
  • Attend meetings with Consultants, Cost Control, Planning, and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure that BIM models are continuously updated throughout the construction process to include all agendas, approved change orders, field orders, clarifications, RFIs, and As-Built drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with the BIM Manager to improve and standardize BIM-related processes.


Qualifications
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).
  • B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Design Engineer or Project Coordinator.
  • Strong BIM skills with hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in specific software applications, especially Navisworks and Revit (mandatory).
  • Skilled in AutoCAD for design applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced in Vendor Evaluation.
  • Advanced in Engineering Knowledge.
  • Advanced in Engineering Design.
  • Advanced in Risk Management.
  • Advanced in Job Scoping and Specification.
  • Advanced in Project Management.
  • Advanced in Data Gathering and Assessment.
