Sr. Engineer - Design (Architectural)

The main purpose of the Sr. Engineering – Design (Architectural) role is to lead a team of Design Archi Engineers to develop designs from job specifications in accordance with international engineering standards and codes of practice.

• Conduct all activities with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics Policy and uphold company values.
• Adopt and effectively utilize company systems and ERP platforms within the function.
• Monitor and track assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Lead and manage a team of Architectural Design Engineers, Senior Architectural Engineers, and CAD Operators.
• Develop architectural designs based on project specifications and requirements.
• Allocate, prioritize, and review the work of the architectural design team to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Review and evaluate design documents and material specifications for tender submissions.
• Prepare and review material data sheets and material take-off reports.
• Document, record, and report meeting outcomes, project progress, and construction completion updates based on design validation reports from Project Engineers.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Incorporate feedback from projects and clients to clarify design requirements and implement modifications during the design development and construction phases.
• Manage day-to-day project modelling activities and resolve modelling-related issues.
• Ensure models are developed in accordance with project BIM standards and guidelines.
• Perform model health checks and audits to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct regular design coordination reviews with the modelling team under the guidance of the BIM Coordinator to identify and resolve coordination issues.
• Participate in design review meetings and BIM coordination workshops with consultants and project stakeholders.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of work experience as an Architectural Design Engineer.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Specific software application, especially Navisworks, is necessary.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Expert in BIM tools used on a project.
• Knowledge in Vendor Evaluation.
• Engineering knowledge.
Advanced proficiency in QA/QC Management.
