Position Summary

Define hydro/dynamic and loads for calculation of dynamic response of containment structure and the C/S design of reactor containment. Analyze the effects of missiles, aircraft impact events and severe accident/external concrete structures.

Review and approve, or develop civil/structural design input to safety analysis reports and licensing documents, prepare evaluations to address technical licensing and regulatory issues.

Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, the NRC and international regulatory authorities on technical licensing, technical issues, and safety analysis reports.

Lead and conduct design analyses, evaluations, and verifications for various PWR structural systems.

Provide engineering knowledge to the analysis, development, and review of complex design problems and application issues.

Responsible for ensuring that project-specific products can reliably meet all engineering and quality requirements and customer specifications, including design and construction standards, and industry codes and standards.

Work proactively with existing BWRP engineers and clients to identify problem through root cause analyses, process qualification approach, and non-conformance material resolution and disposition.

Perform work tasks in accordance with current regulatory guides and industry standards applicable to the Systems and Equipment and the associated components and their interfaces with other systems.

Prepare project deliverables, such as calculations, structural and engineering documentation in accordance with client requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.

Interface with customers and contractors.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science Engineering

· Professional Engineer registration in one or more states

· Nuclear Power Plant Construction Experience

· Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy business (nuclear preferred) or equivalent technical environment

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment and piping stress analysis, regulators and suppliers

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a program or technical leadership role

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in containment penetration, regulators and suppliers

Eligibility Requirements

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, but highly qualified US based, remote candidates will be considered.

· Working knowledge of BWR plants and specifically the BWR/THERMAL/HYDRAULICS analysis and design of the plant

· Experience in the construction of a nuclear power plant

· Knowledge of nuclear business products, business processes, customers and competitive environment

Additional Information

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, education, and work location.

Pay: $82.00 - $90.00 per hour
