Sr. Enterprise Analyst - Workday Comp

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,807 – $194,040 + bonus and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Summary

The Senior Enterprise Analyst serves as a strategic partner supporting Compensation, Talent, and Performance capabilities within Workday. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing Workday Advanced Compensation and Talent & Performance modules, ensuring efficient operations, strong user experience, and continuous improvement aligned with business and employee needs.
The ideal candidate brings deep Workday expertise and collaborates closely with HR Operations, Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits, and IT teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that support enterprise workforce strategies.
Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Partnership and Strategy

  • Partner with HR and business units to ensure technology solutions align with employee needs, business objectives, and enterprise strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Compensation, Talent, and Performance processes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, system-enabled solutions using people, process, data, and technology.
  • Establish and maintain a multi-year business and technology roadmap for Workday Compensation and Talent systems.
  • Evaluate initiatives and proposals to ensure alignment with established roadmaps, priorities, and business value.
  • Stay current on industry trends and Workday enhancements to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Business Analysis and Planning

  • Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis for Compensation and Talent & Performance processes.
  • Conduct end-to-end business process and gap analysis to support automation and digital transformation.
  • Develop business cases and define desired service levels for existing and emerging system capabilities.
  • Analyze business data and partner with enterprise data teams to identify insights, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies tied to business and system changes.

System Configuration and Operations

  • Configure and manage Workday Advanced Compensation, Talent, and Performance modules.
  • Support performance reviews, talent reviews, calibration, succession planning, career development plans, and goal management.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for Annual Merit, Bonus, Mid-Year, and Annual Performance Review cycles.
  • Ensure systems are configured efficiently, maintained regularly, and aligned with evolving business requirements.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for production support issues and SLA management.

System Implementation, Enhancements, and Upgrades

  • Support system implementations, upgrades, testing cycles, and deployments with minimal user disruption.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and propose innovative solutions to improve automation and user experience.
  • Perform Workday tenant configuration, data loads (EIBs), and manage Sandbox environments.
  • Define, document, and enforce system standards and best practices.
  • Manage post-implementation enhancement requests using an agreed-upon release schedule.

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with PMO to manage cross-functional projects involving multiple departments.
  • Balance business unit needs with enterprise-level optimization and technology strategy.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Transfer knowledge to leadership and peers to ensure consistent processes across departments.
  • Provide presentations, reports, and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12–15 years of experience in Business Relationship Management (BRM) and/or Business Analysis supporting SaaS and cloud-based systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HRIS modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Performance, Payroll, and Benefits.
  • Proven experience leading Workday Advanced Compensation and Talent & Performance implementations and operations.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Workday configuration, integrations, reporting, business processes, and security.
  • Proficiency with Workday Report Writer and advanced reporting techniques.
  • Understanding of HRIS security concepts and data privacy best practices.
  • Experience with system integrations and data migration initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and support multiple business units simultaneously.
