About the Role:
Supports Project Manager while mentoring with Project Managers to learn management aspects of asbestos, lead, mold and other industrial hygiene projects including conversing with potential and existing clients; proposal generation, managing project budgets and generating final reports and remediation specifications. Additional responsibilities include performing on-site surveys, inspections, assessments, abatement oversight and monitoring and auditing of safety procedures and applicable regulations associated with industrial hygiene and environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities
Attend job walks, pre-construction meetings, and meetings with potential and existing clients.
Assist in preparing project proposals and budgets.
Review project scope, select tasks, and define deliverables.
Field calls from clients and provide knowledgeable responses.
Review project drawings, plans, and specifications.
Open new projects, complete Project Intake Forms, establish schedules, and assign staff.
Perform field investigations, monitor budgets, personnel activity, and project quality.
Determine and monitor scope, turnaround time, client interactions, timing, and rates.
Review staff time entries and WIP (work in progress) for accuracy of rates, service codes, and lab charges.
Select, rent, or borrow necessary equipment for projects and verify equipment calibration.
Prepare and review project reports and meet targets specified in the Incentive Compensation Plan.
Follow invoicing procedures for progress or final project closeouts.
Assist Accounting with collections or invoicing issues as needed.
Enter time, expenses, and update milestones in Clearview.
Assist with recruitment and staff development.
Perform responsibilities of the Client Resources Manager as assigned.
Establish personal operational goals with Supervisor and maintain electronic project files.
Business Development Responsibilities
Make and log customer service and business development calls.
Attend association and targeted meetings.
Assign meetings and presentations into personal calendar and follow up with progress calls.
Arrange and participate in presentation opportunities.
Engage or refer local business development opportunities to the team.
Assist in preparing marketing resources, including project summaries.
Technical Responsibilities
Maintain required technical certifications.
Attend internal and external technical training (e.g., FACS University).
Participate in staff development initiatives.
Assist with quality assurance and quality control audits.
Requirements:
Current certifications required to perform the work.
Minimum 2 years of direct technical experience and industry knowledge as a field technician.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Safety, Biological or Physical Science, or equivalent experience.
Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel to different project and client locations as needed.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
Must pass annual medical exam and respirator fit test.
Must pass background check with a clean record.
Ability to learn and use new computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical & Work Requirements:
Physical ability to stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, walk, and stand for extended periods in varied work environments to perform sampling activities.
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer for documentation and reporting.
Must be able to pass a background check, annual physicals, and OSHA-required respirator fit tests.
