Sr. Executive – Accounts (Imports & Exports)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Executive – Accountant with strong exposure to Imports, Exports, Taxation, Customs Affairs, and GST within the apparels/garments industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing cross-border transactions, statutory compliance, and financial documentation related to exports and imports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for import and export transactions.
• Handle GST compliance, GST returns, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with customs authorities and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Prepare and maintain export documentation including shipping bills, invoices, and packing lists.
• Manage import documentation like BOE, LC, and advance payments.
• Monitor all statutory timelines and ensure accurate filings.
• Liaise with banks for export/import payments and documentation.
• Assist in audits related to accounts, taxation, and compliance.
• Maintain records of duty drawback, MEIS, and other export incentives (if applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Imports/Exports Accounting within the garment/apparel sector.
• Strong knowledge of GST, taxation, and custom affairs.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external agencies.
