We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager – Purchase to manage procurement operations and inventory control at our educational institution. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in purchase and supply chain processes, especially in a structured institutional or corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement operations as per institutional policies and approved vendor lists.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs), track deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Ensure timely procurement of educational materials, lab supplies, office essentials, and institutional requirements.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of all categories; initiate reorder as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure records are up-to-date.
- Liaise with internal departments (Admin, Labs, Faculty, etc.) to gather purchase requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
- Maintain records of vendor performance, delivery timelines, and quality checks.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory usage, stock aging, and procurement status for management review.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of purchase/procurement processes and inventory control.
- Experience in ERP software or inventory management tools.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Professional communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and departments.
- High attention to detail and process orientation.
Qualifications:
- Graduate in any discipline (Commerce, Business Administration preferred).
- PG/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in purchase/inventory management.
- Prior experience in an educational institution or service sector is an added advantage.
