Job Title: HR Representative
Reports To: EVP, HR & Compliance
Position Summary:
The HR Representative supports key Human Resources functions, with a primary focus on recruiting, onboarding, and performance management. This role is responsible for managing the full recruitment life cycle across a range of positions, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and hiring for skilled trades, blue-collar, and college-level roles. The HR Representative partners closely with hiring managers to develop creative strategies that attract, evaluate, and retain top talent, while ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience. Additional responsibilities include payroll processing support, benefits administration, and HR data management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering a high-quality employee experience.
Essential Job Functions:- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus – ~60-70%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for all open positions—from initial posting through offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, create job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source qualified candidates through multiple channels, including online platforms, social media, networking, and campus outreach.
- Lead college recruiting initiatives and represent the company at career fairs and industry events.
- Conduct screening interviews, schedule manager interviews, and facilitate candidate evaluations.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment verifications.
- Prepare and deliver offer letters; close out requisitions and maintain accurate applicant tracking logs.
- Build and maintain an active talent pipeline for key roles and future hiring needs.
- Performance Management & HR Operations (~30–40%)
- Support the design and execution of performance management processes.
- Participate in annual benefits planning and open enrollment processes.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain employee files and HR data.
- Prepare, submit, and audit new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with HR team members to ensure smooth onboarding and accurate data entry in Dayforce.
- Support payroll and benefits administration activities as needed.
- Assist with HR reporting, analytics, and ongoing process improvements.
- Provide general HR support, including employee communications, file maintenance, and coordination of HR projects.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of recruiting experience, including blue-collar, skilled trade, and/or college recruiting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Experience with Dayforce or similar HRIS and talent management systems or ability to learn quickly.
Special Demands:- Must work on-site; remote work is not available.
- Occasional travel required, especially during peak college recruiting periods.
- Long periods of sitting and computer use in an office environment.
