ABOUT THIS ROLE
Most HVAC companies are built by investors who can’t tell a TXV from a contactor. This one is being built differently. We’re standing up a new HVAC operation backed by executive-level infrastructure — and we’re looking for one experienced field operator to lead the technical side of it from day one.
WHAT’S ALREADY IN PLACE
Behind this venture is an executive-level support team handling the things that sink most small businesses before they get traction:
- Marketing — lead generation, brand, and digital presence
- Finance & Accounting — cash flow, books, and reporting
- IT — systems, software, and infrastructure
- HR — hiring support, compliance, people operations
THE ROLE
You’ll work alongside an operator who holds a state HVAC license and manages office operations, inside sales, and day-to-day administration. You run the field. Together you are accountable for the company’s success and the standard of work that goes out the door.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems — heat pumps, split systems, package units, gas furnaces, air handlers
- Perform preventive maintenance on residential and commercial equipment
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and costs clearly — no high-pressure tactics
- Build and lead the service and installation teams as the company grows
- Set the standard for field quality and first-call completion rates
- Mentor and develop junior technicians who represent the brand credibly
- Complete all service documentation, work orders, and parts tracking accurately
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service
- Help shape the culture of a company from day one
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years hands-on HVAC service experience
- Residential and commercial systems experience
- EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
- NATE Certification (required)
- Experience managing dispatch, scheduling, and callbacks
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Daikin systems experience
- Mini-splits, heat pumps, VRF, high-SEER inverter equipment & smart controls
- Refrigerant systems, airflow & load calculations
- EPA 410A certification (preferred)
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Your technicians respect you because you’ve done the work. Your customers trust you because you’re direct with them. You’ve been running someone else’s operation like it was your own — and you’re ready to do that with the backing and infrastructure to actually make it run.
If predictable and comfortable is the priority right now, this isn’t the right fit. The early days will be demanding, and some of what this role requires won’t have a playbook.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary: $70,000 – $85,000 depending on experience
- Performance-based incentive compensation
- Paid time off and holidays
- Ongoing manufacturer and technical training
- A culture of ownership, respect, and accountability
Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Work Location: In person
