The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 5 years experience in web application development is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and implement server-side logic using Java technologies.

Develop and maintain APIs and web services to facilitate data exchange between the front-end and back-end components.

Implement secure and efficient data storage solutions.

Database Management:

• Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL to manage and manipulate data.
• Optimize database queries for improved performance.

Code Maintenance and Optimization:

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers.
• Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with 5+ years of expertise.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development.
• Solid understanding of database management and SQL.
• Version control experience with Git/SVN.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environment and related tools.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
• Very strong organizational & time management skills.
• Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, attention to detail and demonstrated track record in managing multiple projects/tasks concurrently in tight timelines
• Willing and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
