Sr. Legal Operations Analyst- Data and Technology Transformation

Position Summary: The Senior Legal Operations Analyst supports the evolution of legal operations through data-driven insights and technology innovation. This role partners across Legal, IT, and business teams to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and enable scalable, modern solutions. By bridging business needs with technical capabilities, the analyst helps drive strategic initiatives that strengthen operational performance and advance the firm’s digital transformation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support legal technology transformation initiatives across the firm
  • Analyze current-state legal processes and identify short-, medium- and long-term initiatives to transform Legal Operations
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Operations and Data Governance teams to design and implement future-state digital solutions
  • Translate legal requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Work closely with leadership to build Digital transformation strategy and develop roadmap
  • Drive automation of legal workflows using low-code, RPA, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Support implementation and optimization of legal tech platforms
  • Support data governance, records retention, and information lifecycle management requirements within legal systems
  • Support development of KPIs and dashboards to measure legal operational efficiency, spend management, and technology adoption
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, and change management activities with legal teams
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of inhouse and vendor legal technology solutions
  • Support development of executive-level materials, roadmaps, and status reports for legal leadership
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies related to legal technology transformation initiatives
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide subject-matter guidance on legal tech best practices

Qualifications:

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in legal or IT operations, legal technology platforms
  • Experience with analyzing sourcing, leading and implementing legal technologies - AI and Automation solutions
  • Experience in leading the implementation of vendor AI and automation solutions
  • Experience in Process reengineering and operating model transformation
  • Experience in data governance, records management, and information lifecycle management
  • Experience in using RegEx in SQL, Python, or other data processing tools
  • Experience in process mapping and process re-engineering within legal environments
  • Experience in automation tools including RPA and low-code platforms
  • Experience with AI/ML use cases in legal technology (document review, contract analysis, etc)
  • Strong SQL or data querying skills
  • Experience applying natural language processing and generative AI tools, such as Copilot, Claude, and OpenAI, to optimize work processes
  • Experience with Project and work management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in Change management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and M365 ecosystem experience
  • Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, business analysis, or legal technology environments
  • Hands-on experience performing data analysis using Excel, SQL, Python, or other data processing tools
  • Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or structured project delivery environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Hands-on experience supporting legal or compliance-related systems and workflows
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Legal, IT, and Compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
