Role Overview

The Senior Maintenance Engineer – Machine Maintenance is responsible for end-to-end maintenance, reliability, and performance of manufacturing machines used in Solar and Aerospace production environments. The role ensures high machine uptime, safety, compliance, and readiness for audits, while leading preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

This position requires strong shop-floor presence, technical depth, and ownership of machines that directly impact production, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities – Machine Maintenance Focus

• Own complete machine maintenance lifecycle – preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
• Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of critical production machines
• Prepare, execute, and track Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules
• Lead breakdown analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and CAPA implementation
• Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and junior engineers
• Maintain machine history cards, maintenance logs, and downtime records
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to reduce machine-related losses
• Handle machine troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Support machine installation, commissioning, trials, and acceptance
• Plan and manage critical spares, tools, and consumables
• Liaise with OEMs and external service vendors
• Drive TPM initiatives, OEE improvement, and cost reduction projects
• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety, and statutory regulations
• Support ISO, AS9100, and customer audits with complete maintenance documentation

Machines & Equipment Exposure (Mandatory / Preferred)

• CNC Machines (VMC, HMC, Turning Centers)
• Presses, stamping machines, and automation lines
• Solar module manufacturing / assembly equipment
• Conveyors, fixtures, jigs, and special purpose machines (SPMs)
• Hydraulics & Pneumatics systems
• Compressors, chillers, power and utility systems
• PLC-based machines (basic diagnostics & coordination)

Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of machine maintenance & reliability engineering
• Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, drawings, and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of TPM, PM, MTTR, MTBF, OEE
• Exposure to Aerospace discipline & Solar manufacturing standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
• BTech EEE must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
