Sr. Manager Campus Recruiting - Atlanta, GA

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, Early Careers is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering an end-to-end early career recruitment strategy across North America. This role leads a team that supports recruitment and programs across multiple businesses and functions within the region.

This role will serve as a trusted talent partner to the business, providing strategic guidance, labor market insight and forward-thinking solutions while ensuring strong operational execution. The role requires a proven people leader with deep early career recruiting experience, a strong commitment to inclusive hiring practices and a consistent track record of delivering results. Building credibility, influencing stakeholders and advancing talent outcomes will be essential.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Own and deliver the end-to-end early career recruitment strategy, including internships, co-ops, early career full time hiring, and campus engagements.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team, fostering an inclusive culture of accountability, engagement and professional growth.
  • Partner closely with business leaders, HR partners and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs and translate them into scalable early career talent strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business by providing data driven insights, labor market trends and analytics to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Design and execute inclusive recruiting strategies that attract top talent through targeted sourcing, campus partnerships, conferences and other early career pipelines.
  • Drive operational excellence across recruiting processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, compliance and an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Leverage talent acquisition tools and technology to optimize recruiting workflows, improve data visibility and enhance candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Stay current on emerging talent market trends, competitive intelligence and inclusive recruiting best practices to ensure Smurfit Westrock remains competitive and forward thinking.
  • Manage external vendors and partners including universities, external organizations and job boards.
  • Deliver measurable ROI aligned to hiring goals and business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
  • 10+ years of early career recruitment experience with demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Proven experience leading early career recruiting and programs at scale.
  • Demonstrated strength as a people leader who can inspire and develop a high performing team.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to balance long term planning and disciplined execution.
  • Excellent influencing and relationship building skills with senior leaders and cross functional partners.
  • Strong operational and analytical capabilities with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Forward thinking perspective with a passion for continuous improvement, technology and innovation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel for site visits, recruiting events, campus engagement and training as required.
