Job Title: Senior Manager – Stores
Department: Stores & Inventory Management
Experience Required: 10–15 Years (in Construction Industry)
Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – Stores will be responsible for overseeing and managing all store operations across multiple construction sites. This includes monitoring inward and outward material movement, ensuring accurate stock and consumption reporting, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating inter-site transfers. The role also involves effective inventory planning, waste management, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Store Operations Management
- Supervise and control all site stores to ensure smooth material handling.
- Maintain records for material inward/outward, stock registers, and issue slips.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stacking of materials as per standards.
- Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor site-wise stock levels and update daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
- Verify physical stock with system records and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare and review consumption reports and material utilization data.
- Material Indent & Procurement Coordination
- Review and approve indents raised by site store personnel.
- Coordinate with the procurement department for timely material supply.
- Track pending indents and follow up for delivery and documentation.
- Inter-Site Material Transfer
- Plan and execute transfer of materials between sites as per project requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and approval for all transfers.
- Manpower Supervision & Deployment
- Monitor and guide site storekeepers and store executives.
- Deploy or transfer store staff between sites as needed.
- Conduct periodic training for store teams on SOPs and documentation.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain and share consolidated site-wise store MIS reports.
- Submit monthly consumption, stock variance, and wastage reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of goods received notes, issue vouchers, and stock ledgers.
- Waste Management
- Implement and monitor waste segregation and disposal at sites.
- Record and report scrap and unused material returns.
- Ensure compliance with company and environmental norms.
- Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and records.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of store management processes in the construction sector.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP software (SAP / Tally / etc.).
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
