Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative mechanical products and systems. The candidate will be responsible for product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing coordination, and continuous product improvement while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CAD modeling, sheet metal design, product development, fabrication processes, and engineering problem-solving with the ability to independently manage projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product design and development from concept to production.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Design products considering DFMA principles.
• Conduct feasibility studies and improve products for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Perform mechanical calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Design sheet metal, machined, fabricated, and plastic components.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Review technical drawings, BOMs, and ensure engineering compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors, machine shops, and production teams.
• Support assembly, testing, and pilot production activities.
• Manage multiple projects and meet development timelines.
• Prepare project updates, reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with procurement, QA, production, and management teams.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team coordination abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• 3–5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Experience working on industrial products, appliances, machinery, or consumer products.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and production coordination is preferred.
• Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Software Requirements
• SolidWorks (Preferred)
• Creo/Fusion 360
• MS Office
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software is a plus.
