Minimum
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business
administration, or a related field which includes four (4)
years in a managerial or supervisory role; or eight (8) years
of related professional experience which includes four (4)
years in a managerial or supervisory role; or four (4) years
of experience required at the lower level Mgr 2, Business
Ops (GSM011) or position equivalent. Note: An
equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or
intern experience, training, or certifications that provides
the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform
the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred
Qualification:
Ten years of experience developing capital improvement priorities in a correctional, educational, healthcare, or manufacturing environment.
Fifteen years of experience managing multiple facility HVAC and mechanical improvement projects from the design phase all the way through Construction completion or managing facility maintenance staff in the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in multiple buildings at a single location or at multiple locations.
Ten years of experience managing professional staff in the performance of project management of multiple mechanical, electrical, plumbing, infrastructure projects or in the management of multiple capital improvement construction, repair, and replacement projects in an institutional environment.
Candidate must have well developed oral, written, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidate must have experience making presentations to Senior Leadership level staff.
Candidate must have documented experiences developing and managing legal contract terms, project budgets, and schedules.Note:
- This position will manage a team of project managers handling multiple mechanical, electrical, and plumbing capital improvement projects statewide. This position is based at SOSTC - Lies Hall in Forsyth, GA with day trips expected to job sites. Limited overnight travel could occur. Commute time to the SOSTC does not count as work time
