As a Sr. Network Administrator, you are a vital part of our technology infrastructure team, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network systems. You design, implement, and manage our network infrastructure, playing a key role in supporting our organization's mission and enabling seamless operations. You are a technical leader who provides guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
This position is Fully Remote.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure AWS GovCloud-based network architecture

Support high-availability configurations across Availability Zones.

Architect network configurations to support 99.99% uptime objectives and rapid failover.

Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams and architecture documentation.

Configure and manage VPN gateways, Load balancers, Elastic IP configurations
-
Monitor bandwidth utilization, latency, and throughput.

Optimize performance to support high transaction volumes and low-latency user experiences.

Implement and maintain network security controls aligned to:
-
DoD cybersecurity mandates
-
DISA STIG requirements
-
CC SRG guidance
-
Harden network components and validate configuration compliance.
-
Support vulnerability remediation and patch management activities.
-
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on incident response and containment.
-
Ensure secure interconnections with external DoD systems and APIs.
-
Implement 24/7 monitoring and alerting for network availability and anomalies.
-
Conduct proactive capacity planning and scalability assessments.
-
Perform root cause analysis on outages or performance degradation.
-
Validate backup and disaster recovery network pathways.
-
Support secure API integrations and third-party system interfaces.
-
Participate in Technical Status Meetings and provide network health updates.

Contribute to Monthly Status Reports with network metrics and risk posture.
Maintain and update:
- Recommend infrastructure improvements to enhance resilience and scalability.

Support Authority to Operate (ATO) sustainment documentation as required.
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
10 years of experience in network administration.
- 5 years of experience in a DoD environment
- Proven experience with firewall management, VPN configuration, and network security.

Experience with cloud networking, particularly AWS GovCloud.

Experience with scripting and automation.

Certified as a AWS Solutions Architect

Active DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP
