DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops/modifies approved new/current HMIS modules with the aim of solving business problems or automating business processes to improve controls and operational efficiency.
- Assists in the development of interfaces between HMIS and ERP and provides on-going support.
- Coordinates with Team Lead and IT manager to resolve issues related to oracle HMIS systems and provides support for HMIS.
- Analyzes user requests for changes or enhancement to existing software, proposes architecture and design solutions for discussion with Manager-IT
- Maintains accurate quality control documentation and prepares project progress reports.
- Attends telephonic inquiries for assistance with the system. Diagnoses and trouble-shoots day-to-day problems faced by end users; analyzes and recommends ‘fixes’ to solve reported problems.
- Attends to end-users in person, as required, for identification of issues and provides solutions to minor problems in minimum possible time.
- Makes presentation or demonstrates software solutions to operational users.
- Provides training to end users in the usage of new, enhanced or modified software/ systems.
- Interacts with users through various phases of design, development, implementation & maintenance.
- Maintains daily work progress and time spent on various activities on the assigned project through project charter id.
- Maintains appropriate Helpdesk records, reports and files on the update and deletion of data.
- Participates in review and update of Policies and Procedures manuals.
- Attends departmental and committee meetings as required.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science / Programming or related field.
Software development certification in Oracle/Java is desired.
EXPERIENCE: Preferably 5 years’ experience in IT with at least 4 years’ experience in Oracle/Java Developer environment.
OTHER SKILLS:
Technical Skills: Knowledge of methodologies to record user requirements. Proficiency in technical documentation and software design skills. Understanding and knowledge of healthcare business and operations.
Administrative Skills: Good Analytical and Problem Solving skills; Ability to work under pressure and Attention to detail. Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering skills
Soft Skills: Good communication and inter-personal skills. Computer Skills: Oracle Development Tools - Forms 6i and Reports 6i. Oracle Pl SQL, Oracle JDeveloper, Ability to upgrade to 10g/11 g is preferred
Language Skills: Good in Written and spoken English
physical & WORKING CONDITIONS
Normally works in an air conditioned office, in neat and pleasant surroundings.
May involve long periods of sitting; extensive use of computers, prolonged working in front of a computer screen; intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk.
Occasionally stands and walks short distances; bends, stoops and reaches to perform routine job tasks.
Involves working under pressure to meet deadlines.
