Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or equivalent).
- Provide planning and scheduling expertise to project teams and clients.
- Analyze project progress and identify potential delays or risks; propose mitigation strategies.
- Interface with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in preparation and review of baseline schedules, recovery plans, and time impact analysis (TIA).
- Monitor and report on project performance through dashboards and progress reports (weekly/monthly).
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities are compliant with contractual and client requirements.
- Provide input for claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and forensic delay analysis when required.
- Support tender planning and feasibility studies during proposal stages.
- Lead meetings and presentations related to scheduling and planning deliverables.
- Mentor and guide junior planning engineers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and project control—preferably with a consultancy.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and engineering contracts (e.g., FIDIC).
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex infrastructure or construction projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- PMP or PSP certification is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Consultancy or client-side background.
- Experience across multiple project types (infrastructure, buildings, industrial).
- Knowledge of BIM integration with planning tools (4D planning) is an advantage.
- Previous involvement in arbitration or dispute resolution processes is beneficia
