Sr. Planning Engineer (with High Rise Building experience)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer with proven experience in high-rise building projects to manage planning, scheduling, and progress control for large-scale developments. The candidate will ensure timely execution, monitor project progress, prepare reports, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to mitigate delays and optimize resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Scheduling

• Prepare, develop, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create baseline programs, resource-loaded schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery schedules.
• Develop WBS, define activity sequences, identify critical path, and monitor schedule performance.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications to ensure accurate planning.

Monitoring & Control

• Track progress, identify slippages, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct delay analysis, assess extension-of-time (EOT) claims, and support contractual submissions.
• Prepare S-curves, histograms, and progress dashboards for management review.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure accurate reporting of manpower, equipment, and material progress.

Coordination & Reporting

• Attend coordination meetings with Project Management, Consultants, Clients, and Contractors.
• Ensure planning objectives align with project milestones and contractual requirements.
• Generate weekly/monthly progress reports, forecasts, and risk analyses.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor and guide junior planning engineers and planners.
• Provide planning input for value engineering, project optimization, and resource management.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–15 years of experience in planning for high-rise building projects.
• Expert in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, resource allocation, and project controls.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts and UAE construction regulations preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-rise projects simultaneously.
