Job Summary:
As the Lead Product Owner for Allvue’s Portfolio Monitoring (PM) solution, you will own the product backlog and drive the development and integration of capabilities that enable General Partners (GPs) to collect, analyze, and report on the operational and financial performance of their portfolio companies (“PortCos”).
This solution integrates with Allvue’s market-leading Credit Front Office and Equity Back Office solutions (CRM, Fund Accounting, and Portals) to provide GPs with trusted, timely, and actionable insights. The PM product facilitates communication, collection, storage, and dissemination of key performance, financial, and operational data across GPs’ internal stakeholders, investors, and portfolio companies.
As a senior leader with 10+ years of experience, you will be expected to own multiple workstreams, beginning with PM and extending to other related areas such as Fund Accounting (FA) or Investment Accounting (IA). Requirements:
General Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis in fintech, SaaS, or asset management.
- Proven track record of independently leading backlogs across multiple streams or products.
- Strong experience working on integration-heavy product initiatives.
Domain Expertise
- Deep understanding of Portfolio Monitoring, Fund Accounting, and Investment Accounting concepts.
- Experience with portfolio valuation, reporting, KPI tracking, and PortCo-level data management.
- Hands-on familiarity with back-office and middle-office platforms such as WSO, Investran, Geneva, eFront, or equivalent.
- Exposure to Front Office solutions for General Partners (GPs) will be advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data workflows.
- Comfort with SQL or structured data queries for validation and reporting.
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across global teams.
- Self-starter who can operate with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Product Leadership
- Own the PM backlog, ensuring prioritization across features, customer commitments, and technical debt.
- Define and drive the integration roadmap between PM, Credit Front Office, and Equity Back Office solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise on portfolio monitoring, valuation, reporting, KPI tracking, and PortCo data collection.
- Gather requirements and produce high-quality BRDs, Epics, and user stories with explicit acceptance criteria.
- As required, own additional backlogs/workstreams (e.g., FA or IA), ensuring prioritization and delivery are aligned with product and business objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Market-Facing Product Managers to refine initiatives and translate them into executable Epics and Stories.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, and QA to ensure feasibility and high-quality execution.
- Engage closely with Client Solutions, Implementation, and Operations to align on workflows and deliverables.
Execution & Delivery
- Ensure backlog readiness and sprint/PI predictability.
- Drive resolution of integration issues impacting Portfolio Monitoring capabilities.
- Own pre-release and post-release demos, client enablement, and post-deployment validation of delivered features.
