Assists with and coordinates the development and execution of program goals, objectives, and scope to ensure alignment with the State Office of Vital Records strategic vision.
Assesses the allocation of resources across multiple projects to develop challenging but achievable project schedules.
Collaborates with senior leadership to prioritize projects.
Identifies and assigns tasks, activities, and milestones to office staff.
Identifies, assesses, and analyzes risks and issues that could impact program delivery and develops mitigation plans.
Communicates project and program progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Oversees multiple projects including meeting facilitation, project coordination, progress reporting, performance, and budget management.
Uses transparent communication and proven processes to foster a collaborative environment.
Executes best practices and project management standards to support program portfolio development.
Creates documentation to support all program management efforts.
Minimum QualificationsCollege degree in Business Management, Public Health Administration, or related field or
10 years of relevant experience supporting job responsibilities or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
PMP Certification (Certified Project Management Professional)
5+ years managing a portfolio of at least 7 projects
Experience implementing FHIR standards
Experience implementing APIs
Knowledge of public health data
5+ years managing IT projects
Experience working in State Government IT environments
Experience with RFP/RFI analysis and response
5+ years documenting systems, SOPs, or governance documentation
3+ years in business process improvement and business analysis

Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to define system requirements
Strong written & verbal communication
Experience with business & design documentation
Highly organized with strong prioritization skills
Strong analytical abilities
Other InformationNo travel required
Work schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (8-hour day)
Must work in-office for first 2 months, then hybrid schedule
