This role will require the individual to apply core project management concepts and practices to organize and lead teams through the project lifecycle. This role will also require excellent communication and leadership skills to build a culture of accountability that ensures continuing alignment of goals, active risk and issue management and resolution, and delivering clear and timely communication with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be experienced in applying both traditional Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, selecting and tailoring the right approach as a situation may dictate. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate their past experience scoping, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects of similar size and importance.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate past experience developing detailed work breakdown structures that include both IT and non-IT related deliverables such as any required training, acceptance testing, and operational transition activities. Experience creating detailed project plans that include in-house deliverables, vendor milestones, resource plans, and monitoring and reporting execution against defined objectives is required.

Success will be defined as delivering approved scope on time, within budget, and aligned with the Port's broader digital transformation, resilience, and modernization goals.
