Sr. Project Manager (Substations)

Job Overview:

We, at Emarat Aloula is seeking for a highly qualified Senior Project Manager (Substation) who will be responsible for handling our company's ongoing projects. The incumbent will be working closely with the team members (project managers) to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of EPC substation and power infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Oversee the execution of multiple high-value projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, business plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, mission, and vision, as well as local regulations and international standards.
• Lead operational and project review meetings with Project and Contract Managers, driving corrective actions and efficiency improvements.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Represent the company in key meetings with clients, authorities, and stakeholders, fostering long-term relationships.
• Coordinate closely with tendering, engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project, operational, and HSE risks.
• Mentor and develop project teams, ensuring capability building, engagement, and performance excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 15+ years of proven experience in the GCC within EPC contracting/construction, particularly in power stations, grid and primary substations, and district cooling plants.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-value EPC projects simultaneously (minimum of seven projects).
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Strong expertise in project controls, risk management, engineering design, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
