Sr. Purchase Engineer

Job Description

Position: Purchase Engineer

Qualification: BE(Mechanical)

Experience: minimum 5 years in the sheet metal fabrication industry with hands-on experience on products like enclosures and control panels.

Preferred Age: Below 40 yrs.

Strong candidate with good communication skills responsible to undertake following activities:

1. Ability to expand the current vendor base.

2. Cost effective purchasing practices with effective quality performance.

3. Vendor validation in terms of quality, cost, delivery and potential.

4. Exceptional in-depth knowledge of Steel (MS & SS), Aluminum and galvanized sheets and their grades, chemical compositions, etc.

5. Strong sourcing skills for specialized hardware used in enclosures and control panels.

6. Exceptional negotiation skills, communication skills etc.

7. Good knowledge of ERP based reporting systems and documentation with proper reporting to management.

8. Knowledge of Import related documentation and related activities.

9. Strong sense of prioritization and time management.

10. Effective handling of logistics.

11. Good knowledge of 5 “S” systems and other quality management systems.
