1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Request quotations, compare offers, and conduct price negotiations.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in line with company policies.
- Source materials locally and internationally (if applicable) to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
2. Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
- Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality defects.
- Maintain an updated database of approved vendors.
3. Inventory & Material Planning
- Coordinate with store, production, and other departments to understand purchase requirements.
- Track inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure timely replenishment of materials, spare parts, and consumables.
4. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to reduce procurement costs.
- Evaluate cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing or bulk purchasing.
- Prepare cost comparison sheets and procurement reports.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of POs, quotations, invoices, contracts, and supplier certificates.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with accounts department for invoice verification and payment processing.
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with internal teams (Production, Stores, Finance, Admin, Projects).
- Track and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Prepare regular procurement reports and update management on purchase status.
Required Skills & QualificationsEducation

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce,
Skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain fundamentals.
- Good analytical and cost-evaluation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and purchase management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience
- 2–5 years experience in procurement or purchase-related roles.
- Experience in the relevant industry is an added advantage.
