Sr. Purchasing and Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sr. Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to support our client's procurement and supply chain operations. Duties

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Manage procurement processes using ERP systems ensuring timely purchase of materials and services.
• Oversee inventory management activities, including inventory control, demand planning, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
• Maintain strong vendor management practices by evaluating supplier performance, conducting contract negotiations, and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry regulations related to procurement and logistics.

Education/Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
• Proficiency in ERP systems for procurement management and supply chain coordination.
• Advanced Excel required
• Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and vendor management principles preferably in the consumer products industry.
• Expertise in inventory management techniques including inventory control, demand forecasting, and MRP systems.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial agreements with suppliers.
• Familiarity with logistics operations including transportation planning, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
• Ability to analyze data related to pricing, contracts, and supply chain performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
