Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sr. Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to support our client's procurement and supply chain operations. Duties
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms.
- Manage procurement processes using ERP systems ensuring timely purchase of materials and services.
- Oversee inventory management activities, including inventory control, demand planning, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
- Maintain strong vendor management practices by evaluating supplier performance, conducting contract negotiations, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry regulations related to procurement and logistics.
Education/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in ERP systems for procurement management and supply chain coordination.
- Advanced Excel required
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and vendor management principles preferably in the consumer products industry.
- Expertise in inventory management techniques including inventory control, demand forecasting, and MRP systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial agreements with suppliers.
- Familiarity with logistics operations including transportation planning, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
- Ability to analyze data related to pricing, contracts, and supply chain performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
