Sr. QA Automation Engineer

Automation Framework Ownership

· Design, implement, and maintain a scalable QA automation framework from the ground up

· Select and standardize on tools and patterns (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, API test frameworks)

· Establish best practices for test structure, selectors, reliability, performance, and maintainability

· Define automation strategies that are resilient to UI limitations imposed by legacy frameworks such as Bootstrap 3

Test Automation

· Build and maintain automated tests across:

o Web UI (Playwright / Selenium) targeting a Bootstrap 3–based front end

o APIs and backend services

o Critical end-to-end workflows

· Design stable locator strategies that minimize brittleness in legacy DOM structures

· Balance UI test coverage with API- and service-level testing to reduce over-reliance on fragile UI tests

· Actively reduce flaky tests and false positives

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

· Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines

· Enable shift-left testing with automated checks on pull requests and builds

· Partner with DevOps to ensure test environments, test data, and pipelines are reliable and observable

Collaboration & Quality Leadership

· Work directly with .NET engineers to align testing strategies with application architecture

· Collaborate with front-end engineers to improve testability within Bootstrap 3 constraints

· Participate in design and code reviews to identify testability and quality risks early

· Help define quality gates and release readiness criteria

· Advocate for automation-first and engineering-driven quality practices

Continuous Improvement

· Monitor test results, trends, and failures to identify systemic issues

· Improve test execution speed, stability, and signal-to-noise ratio over time

· Recommend pragmatic improvements to UI structure or attributes to improve automation reliability

· Stay current with modern QA tooling, patterns, and practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,055,062.36 per year
